See how there's nothing under the sign that has your desired model on it? No, you can't order it from the website and get it by Christmas if you want it engraved. What should you do? I don't know. Next year, don't go shopping at the last minute. You've known Christmas was coming for 360 days now.
No, I do not have time to answer a couple dozen questions about computers and iPods. I am on the register. I have to ring up that line of people, and get them out of the store so I have enough space to breathe and I don't die. (Maybe a little exaggeration...)
Oh, and cameraman and reporter from CNBC, why did you decide to film DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF MY REGISTER? As long as you are standing there, I cannot help anyone. And besides, I don't particularly want to be in the background of your report on how well our company is doing and how hot the iPods are...
But my manager rocks. We had a "customer" attempt to use a fake credit card, which he confiscated, along with her ID (we always check ID with credit), and she fled when he went to the back to "check something," AKA "call the police."
We had a similar event two weeks ago where the guy was tackled by our security guard, arrested, and is now serving 5 years, after which he is going to be deported to China.
