lieutfaberAll insightfully and such, I was just organizing my books, cause I told Ariana I was going to bed, and apparently I'm a liar *cries*.
I finally got all three of the Baroque Cycle by Neal Stephenson together on one shelf. Someone had fun with the covers, I realized.
The first one is a dark silver, lead colored. The middle is brassy or coppery. The third is gold.
Oh, did I forget to mention that the books are (at least somewhat) about alchemy? (Eventually I shall have to read them... >_>)
2 weeks ago or so I was in Barnes and Noble, and I had a good time at the clearance tables. I got Crossroads of Twilight and New Spring, both in hardcover, for $5.98 apiece. I think System of the World (#3 in the Baroque Cycle) was also $5.98, though it may have been $4.99. And then I got my 10% members discount, too. \o/
I couldn't find the CD I was looking for, so I'm ripping a Dr. Demento album. Woot. Now I can listen to the Bulbous Bouffant song anytime I want. I will probably avoid Leonard Nemoy's heartrending rendition of "The Ballad of Bilbo Baggins", though. My heart is rent enough from watching the video online. Man, that's trippy.
